Terry Fox Run Bala

Continuing the legacy of Terry Fox, the Bala community joins in the annual Terry Fox Run to raise money for cancer research. Participants can walk, run, blade or bike the route. The run begins at 8.30am, those wishing to participate should show up half an hour before.

Bala Cranberry Festival
More Info

Held on the weekend after Thanksgiving, the Bala Cranberry Festival celebrates the harvest, traditions and taste of the cranberry. Concerts, markets, cooking shows, tours, exhibits, pancake breakfasts, BBQs, entertainment and much more contribute to the fun and festivities. Venues include the Bala Community Centre, Sports Arena, Johnston's Cranberry Marsh, Shield parking lot, The Kee to Bala, Maple Avenue Stage and others.
